CTET Nov 2012 Notification, Form & Eligibility


CTET Nov 2012 Notification Eligibility FormsCentral Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) November 2012 Exam Notification has been published just today. As per the notification, online submission of form starts on 1st August, 2012 and the last date to apply for CTET Nov 2012 is 31st August, 2012. The exam would be held on 18th November, 2012. This is the 3rd time CTET is being organized by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) – the first ever was held on 26th June, 2011 and the second CTET exam was held on 29th January, 2012. If you want to teach students from Class-I to Class-VIII in central schools (KVS, Navodaya etc.), this is your chance to join the teaching fraternity.


While this blog post highlights the salient points on eligibility & form of above notification to help you apply for the same, another follow-up blog post titled: CTET Exam Pattern, Sample Papers & Books provides the prep materials to help you prepare for the same.

But first, the big question on everyone's mind, what is CTET?

What is CTET?
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a benchmark test, being organized by CBSE at national level so as to find the right teachers for teaching from Class-I to Class-VIII. It is being held in 82 cities/towns covering all Indian states as well as in two centres abroad (Dubai and Riyadh). You can click here to download the list of city/town where CTET 2012 would be held.

CTET has been started as an offshoot of Right To Education (RTE) Act, 2009 for implementation of which a huge number of teachers would be required. Passing the CTET would enable you to get a job in Central schools (Kendriya Vidyalaya as well as Navodaya Vidyalaya) at present. But in the future state govt. as well as private schools are expected to uses CTET for selecting teachers.
So if you are a B.Sc/B.A/B.Com graduate and would like to take up a teaching job at School level, CTET is for you. CTET is valid for 7 years.

Eligibilities for CTET:
You can appear in CTET for teaching two groups of students:
i) Class-I to Class-V (Primary Stage).
ii) Class VI to Class-VIII (Elementary Stage).
The eligibility to appear in CTET for these two categories is given below.

CTET Eligibility - Minimum Qualification for teaching Classes I-V:

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.  OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Note:
Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates.

CTET Eligibility - Minimum Qualification for teaching Classes VI-VIII:

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

* A diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Note:
Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./Senior secondary level is admissible for SC/ST and Differently abled Candidates.


CTET November 2012 Online Form:
You can apply for CTET Nov 2012 exam online.
CTET Nov 2012 Online form would be available from  1st August, 2012 to 31st August, 2012.

The application fee for CTET Nov 2012 is Rs. 500/= for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 250/= for others for either Paper – I or Paper – II. But if you want to appear in both the papers, the fee is Rs. 800/= for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 400/= for others.
The fee has to be paid in the form of a DD in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi. Write your Registration Number, Name, Address, and Mobile/Telephone Number on the back of the Demand Draft.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's upcoming satirical mass entertainer 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu' is going to start its new schedule in Annapoorna Studios 7acres from today on words. The unit will shoot a song on Pawan Kalyan and Tamanna for around 3 days. Recently the movie has completed a brief schedule in Ramoji Film City.  

The film is produced under Universal Media banner by DVV Danayya, while Radha Krishna is presenting it. Prakash Raj, Tanikella Bharani, Ali, Subba Raju, Scarlett Wilson etc are playing important roles in this film. Puri Jagannath is the director.

Cinematography of this film is by Shyam K Naidu and Manisharma is composing the music. The movie is schedule to release on October 18th.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds: 'Everybody's On The Run' Single Is Available Now











'Everybody's On The Run' is released today digitally and in stores from tomorrow as the fifth single to be released from the debut album Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.



The single features a 15 minute Amorphous Androgynous remix of single 'AKA… What A Life!'. The mix follows the band's previous reworking of 'If I Had A Gun' which was retitled 'Shoot A Hole Into The Sun' and appeared on previous single 'Dream On'.

The video to the new single features Noel as an LA taxi driver and a guest appearance by Hollywood based British actress Mischa Barton. In scenes in the video, Ms Barton ends up running through the streets of Downtown LA in her leopard print underwear.



Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' world tour continues through the summer with festivals in the UK and abroad. As well as appearances at a number of British festivals, the second leg of the UK Arena Tour continues in September with six more shows including London's Wembley Arena.

CPF Exam Syllabus
This blog post is being made as a part of the blog article titled: CPF (AC) Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Papers & Books to give you the study materials for the CPF Exam.

The syllabus of CPF exam has been reproduced below from UPSC exam website.

There are two papers in the UPSC CPF Written Exam:
Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence: 250 marks.
Paper II: Essay, Précis Writing and Comprehension: 200 marks.
Subsequent to qualifying in the UPSC Written test, you have to appear in the UPSC Interview for 150 marks. The merit list is based on thus a total of 600 marks.

CPF Exam Syllabus Paper I : General Ability and Intelligence
The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following areas:

1. General Mental Ability:
The questions will be designed to test the logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability, and data interpretation.

2. General Science:

The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science.

3. Current Events of National and International Importance:
The questions will test the candidates' awareness of current events of national and international importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalisation, and interplay among nations.

4. Indian Polity and Economy:
The questions shall aim to test candidates' knowledge of the Country's political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in India, regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators.

5. History of India:
The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement.

6. Indian and World Geography:
The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.


CPF Exam Syllabus Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension
It has two parts:
Part-A – Essay questions which are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or English totalling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.

Part-B – Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/language skills – to be attempted in English only (Marks 120) – The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammer and other aspects of language testing..
