The drive to Taj Mahal from New Delhi should take no more than two-and-a-half hours now with the inauguration of the Yamuna Expressway Thursday -- a 165-km, six-lane freeway connecting Greater Noida with Agra. Jaypee officials said the toll rates will be included in the state government gazette by Tuesday night.
The Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 12,839 crore, is expected to reduce travel time from Greater Noida to Agra to under two hours. Currently, the drive takes nearly five hours, officials said.
